Install / Uninstall problems on C 6188 (Photosmart)

Hi there.. I initially had installation problems through USB on my Vista, but later installed through Wireless. I had some unexpected uninstalls and had to re-look for the printer again and install them.

But now, I have a new problem - When I uninstalled the software and came back in after reboot, vista froze and I had to restore.. But now the HP Software would not uninstall or reinstall !!! When I try uninstall, nothing happens after clicking the uninstall butoon (through software and through remove programs in control panel). When I try installing them, the installation file already sees the software on the machine... so it won't reinstall either.

Here is what I get when openin the program - ' Parsing error in file C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml'

after clicking it goes to the software, but the program does not show text.. and nothing works..!!

Please help.

I have this problem also, I can still print through other programs but If any one knows what this error is and how to fix it please let me know

Please install the following updates

Then please uninstall and reinstall the All-in-one  software to resolve the issue

Actuall issue is due to the xml which is not installed properly.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY HP 3180 ALL IN ONE WITH THE PARSING ERROR. I REVIEWED THE DOWNLOAD YOU SUGGESTED & IT'S ONLY SUPPORTS WINDOWS XP & NOT VISTA.  ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
