Install blues!

I am trying to install  a all in one printer(c309g), and I keep getting a fatal "error 1327 invalid drive (C:\). When I built this machine I didn't think it would be a big deal having no drive C. I am using a sata hard drive so when I installed the hd it called it drive "F". Any ideas out there? I have tried uninstallig the hd and it comes back as F. I even used regedit to see if I could designate Cc as F, but couldn't  change it.
