I uninstalled and tried again. Everything went smoothly, but same error. Printer works OK.
Tried HP phone support. First phone technician spent about 4 hours signed on to my computer. I think that he did many adjustments then re-installed. Now I get message "Internal error 2343" when I restart the computer as it tries to complete the install. The printer phone support told me to call the HP computer support. they refused to help. The last conversation was with a supervisor. He said they would research the problem further and call me back.I have not heard from them. Googled the error msg and it basically said to re-intall.

Me too. Except I was uninstalling my K8600 and reinstalling (wasting valuable time) when I got this message. My J6480 still prints, but I keep getting multiple occurances of this message popping up. I say it is a pitiful error message and someone should fix it.
I am so disgusted with HP. I started a new business March 2008. Went out and bought a K8600 for tabloid and J6480 all-in-one for everything else. The software has been a real pain. I miss the old HP.
