Installing second office jet 6310xi

I bought a second office jet 6310xi.I have the software for the first printer on my computer now.  Is there a way I can use the 6310 software I have not to print on the nuw computer?   How do I install the second printer? I have a Windows XP professional operating system

I would request you to provide more clarity on this issue. Do you want to install both printers on same computer?

Do you want to install on a network or USB? If you want to install on different computers what are the O\S on both.

Both printers on the same computer using USB.  I do not have a disk drive at my remote location.  I do have the 6310xi software installed for the first computer

Hi,

Software installation is not required for 2nd printer as printer software is already present in the computer.

In order to print, you need to add printer with a different name.

Steps:

Select Printers and faxes>Add printer>Select Use existing port>Select Virtual USB port.

OR:

Plug USB cable for the second printer to the computer and it should automatically create a new USB port with different name as Officejet 6310(Copy 1)

While printing select the printer port correctly and try to print.
