I have had my HP printer for almost a year now and followed directions to the tee for installing....just put the ddisk in and let it do its thing. Well I keep getting this pop up when I try to print something:The feature you are trying to use is on a network path resource that is unavailable. Click ok to try again or ent an alternate path to a folder containing install package. I thought once I put the disk in all things would work proper. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution.
Thanks

Try uninstalling your printer software and drivers from Start, Control Panel, Uninstall a program (or Programs and Features) then reboot and instead of using your disc again find out what moden number your printer is and also what windows version XP, Vista, Win 7 and also if it x86 or 64bit windows version and go to hp.com, put it the printer name and model number in the seach box in the top right corner and download and install the latest driver software package or just the driver if you don't want the extra software that comes with it.
Also, is your printer connected via a usb cable to your pc or is it a network printer?
