I just bought a HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One Printer - C309a. I am having an issue printing onto a printable cd. I am using a picture that I have taken. I was able to use one picture but when I try to usa another it will not add the photo. I have tried to import the item but with no success. I am able to view the picure in the "library folder" but it isn't one of the pictures when I go to photosmart essential 3.5. I called HP at the 1800 number and they tried for 2 hours with no success. He took over my computer and did the same thing I did and had no success. He tried for 2 hours then said that we had to pay a 3rd party to fix the issue. I purchased this item so we woudn't have to pay for extra software to print onto a CD. We do not want to use labels or stickers. If the software worked for one picture, why won't it work for another?? Please help!!! Thank you.

Can you import any other photos and print them on a CD?

I am trying to determine what you are refering to when you say "the design that the PSE 3.5 gives me" so I would like to start at the beginning of the process.
Open Photosmart Essentials 3.5 and click on "View Library". If your photos are not showing up here, try clicking on the different folders showing on the left. If they still don't show up, click "Import Photos". You will then need to browse to the folder where the images you want to use are stored. You will not be able to see the images in this folder so you need to know the name of the folder and it's location before starting the import.
Once you have the images and you can view them in PSE 3.5 click the Create icon and click Disc Labels. Double click on the disk size you wish to use. These are the only PSE 3.5 designs that you can use. Double click on the design you want to use and it should bring up a list of folders where all your images are stored. Browse to the folder with your image and it should be available on the right hand side of the screen to choose.
