Hi Bakersfieldbarr,

 

I would recommend using genuine HP ink instead of refilled ink. Whenever refilled ink is used, the printer is not able to detect the ink levels to see if they are full or not.

Although i work for HP, my replies are my own and i am not an official spokesperson

Are you saying that since you've refilled you can't get an ink level reading?

Note that refills tend not to have the same print quality and reliability as originals...

I'm not sure what printer model you mean when you say "hppst309a". Is it a photosmart c309a?
