This may be a really dumb question but I rarely buy computers so I am ignorant on this.
We have an HP Officejet J5700. Our desktop which had XP died recently, and we replaced it with a notebook that has Windows 7 Home Edition.
The HP Officejet J5700 does not work with Windows 7.
Is there any way to bridge this gap? Is there a driver I can download? Is there any hope I can use this printer with this laptop?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes there is a way, by simply downloading the Windows 7 software for this printer. You can do that by clicking HERE. There is a basic print and scan driver available and a full feature driver.
Say "Thanks" by clicking the Kudos Star in the post that helped you.
Although I work for HP my posts and replies are my own

Picardje
Thank you for responding.
My challenge was that when I went to download, the .exe wanted to find my HP printer installed, which it wasn't.. (since it was a brand new notebook). I could not install it since the cd that came w/the printer was not for Windows 7.
So I was forced to call HP support to resolve this issue, but it did get resolved. They were extremely helpful.
Someone with more technical expertise may be able to just click the link provided, and be able to handle it from there.

My question does not relate to your question but it has to do with a HP OfficeJet J5700-AIO. I just purchased a new printer. Officejet 6500A-Plus AIO.When uninstalling previous printer (Officejet 6500 AIO..) It had listed another printer I have no knowledge of...Officejet J5700 AIO-Series Corporate Edition 8.0..What is this? When accessing HP Website .entering product make and model the photo of this printer I have never had.Maybe there is an answer out there for me. I'm really perplexed at this time.
