Hi!
I bought HP Laser Jet 1020 many years back and want to install it in my new PC, Dell - Windows 7 64 Bit.
It couldn't install. I downloaded the driver from HP website Laserjet 1020. When halfway installing, a message pop up and says "Printer Software Installer has stopped working" - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I also tried installing from the Add Printer and search for the model. Updated the window list - how ever it failed to update and asked me to come back again.
Last time I tried installing it before and failed. Same problem. I gave up and now i tried again... and it still the same. In the end I have to print documents in my office.
Please help.

Hi LinaYippy,
Uninstall the printer from the Add/Remove programs, and then download the driver again. Let me know if you are successful with getting the printer installed?
