My Computer is an HP Model m8200n originally running Windows Vista. A few months ago, it was upgraded to run Windows 7 Home Premium. The printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro L7590 multi-function machine. I do not scan documents or pictures often, but when I did recently attempt to scan both documents and pictures using HP Solution Center, the scans simply “disappeared” and could not be located in any file. I can scan to the printer, but that’s it.
I checked customer support for my machine and found the article entitled “Files Disappear After Scanning With HP Solution Center.” I then did the following:
- Removed the software for the L7590.
- Removed the device.
- Downloaded and installed updated software/drivers – OJProL7x00-Full.14.exe.
- Downloaded the prescribed fix – CPE Scan Destination Update.
- Reconnected the Device
However, when attempting to run the “fix”, it won’t run and I get the error message:
“This update does not support the device drivers that you have on your PC. You do not need this Software Update.”
So, what can be done to solve this problem?
