Mac users - Installation problems?

Hello all,

 

I've got the Officejet J4680 andhave tried to instrall it with the software on my Mac.  The disk didn't work so I went to the website and got the installer there too (for version MAC OS 15.8) and tried that too and it didn't work.  Both times it doesn't recognize the device.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions?

How are you trying to connect the printer to your computer  -- USB or Wireless?

Same issue.  USB connection.  Stalls at install using CD.  Download errors says failed to mount.  Software is Mac OS X 10.4.11

Sorry, my printer was the fdeskjet 2430.

I used the USB, though I do have wireless too (but haven't tried it yet).
