I bought this awesome printer (Hp Desktop f4400 all in one series) about a year ago. We were in the middle of two places so I never opened it to install until now.. because I only wanted to take care of it once.
I wish I had opened it last year! The friggin' thing doesn't come with an essential piece: the usb to connect the computer to it!!
I was told when I called about this that it's not under warranty anymore. It didn't have the USB in the first place, I think HP should send me one because this is outrageous.
Thanks a lot HP. Now I have a half-installed paper weight sitting on my desk.
On a side note: When tagging posts it will not let me use "hp" "problem" or the word "no"

Hi,
Some HP consumer products does not include a USB in the box.
As you may find by the document below, a USB cable is not included in the box and should be purchased seperately:

Shlomi

That doesn't solve my problem. If I had known that it didn't come with a usb I would've found something else, like a wireless.

I'm so glad someone else is furious about this issue. I bought a printer today - the only one I could find for sale in town, since we have no electronics stores or mass merchandisers - and brought it home, intent on printing a college paper that is due tomorrow. What do I discover? No USB! A part one would be led to belive would be included in the box, since there is no physical way to make the printer work without it! So now it's too late for me to print my paper at the library because they're closed, so I have to return this printer to the store and drive out of town early tomorrow morning in hopes I can find a store that sells printers before class, so I can turn in my paper on time. Thanks so much HP for your excellent product that does absolutely NOTHING.

Cables may not be included because HP doesn't want to charge an extra $20 for a $3 cable you can buy anywhere.

I used to work for HP, but now I'm retired.
