Need Host Cartridges not shipped with new printer [ Edited ]

Due to illness, new printer HP Photosmart 3210 All-in-One remained in shipping box until last week.  Trying to set it up, there were no ink cartridges shipped with it.  I put in HP Cartridges that I had purchased, and it will not initialize.  States wrong cartridges, needs ink cartridges shipped with printer to initialize.  How can I get those cartridges.  I realize it is out of warranty, but there must be some way I can get those cartridges -- do you sell them?  Where can I get some.  Paying as much as I did for this printer, to have it remain useless because of a missing item that should have been with it goes way beyond upsetting.  Please help me get some cartridges so it can initialize and be used for the first time.  Thank you.
