I have the HP PSC 1610 All In One printer, and I am trying to install the original printer driver CD that came with my printer. It was a few years ago when I brought it and it is use to install on my Windows XP SP3 Computer. Now I have Windows 7 32 bit OS and I have tried many ways to install the driver as it has a few extra programs such as HP director that I am so use to using, but the problem is, my Driver CD wont install on my Win 7 OS at all.
I was seriously hoping that someone here might have some insight into how I could install my old driver and added programs from a win XP OS driver to a win 7 OS computer.
I do know that HP.com does have a new driver install for my printer and I have downloaded and installed, and the computer auto installed several printers installs the moment it was connected by USB, and used windows update to install some other installs.
BUT, I really do wish to have my old driver CD installed, as all the programs it has I am so use to using. With the new driver, it is OK to use, but I do prefer my older version.
Is there anyway I am able to install my old driver, or will I have to just give it up and use the current HP updated printer driver? Please Help.
Thank you. ![]()
