BHello,
Have installed two OJ8600 on a WAN/Win 2008 64 bit terninal server. Everything works ok. When a RDP user goes to Start/HP Scan they see a dialog box with two OJ/s listed. However they are named "Hp OfficeJet Pro 8600 (Net)" and "Hp OfficeJet Pro 8600 (Net) #2" So the user standing in front of the 8600 does not know how to pick, one is in front of him and the other is 40 miles away.
How do I make these machine names user friendly? Thank you.

Hi Garmento,
Have you tried renaming the printer under printer properties?

Thanks for your reply. I have done as you suggest and it has not altered the problem. We have two 6500's I would like to replace with 8600's which would only make this problem worse. If you can come up with a solution I would be very appreciative and give you kudos and a "problem solved."
Thank for you help.

Hi Garmento,
The only other way I think you may change how they are identified is by using the printers EWS - Embedded Web Server. Type the IP address of the printer in the address bar of IE, and then change the Host name assigned to each printer. Let me know if this works?
