I have a new notebook with Windows 7 64bit OS. When I install an older OfficeJet v40 all-in-one printer, I have problems printing. In earlier posts some have suggested that I change the printer setup to "Print after last page is spooled". This works, sort of. After printing the document, the print que showes an error code and I must clear the que, turn off the printer and then turn it back on again inorder to print the next document. I have gone to the HP site to download the latest driver but this did not help as it was the one I was currently using. I also noted the message that a new driver was being prepared for "older" model OfficeJet printers for the end of January 2010 (I hope this was a typo and they meant 2011).
I wanted to see if there were other suggestions.
