Officejet Pro 8500 A909n will not scan to computer

I got this printer up and running very smoothly and it worked fine for a month or so but recently the printer can no longer detect my PC to scan directly to MyScan folder. It is a wired network connection and everything else on the printer works fine. I can use the Scan To Email function as a back up but it is more cumbersome to work this way.
Error on display after selecting Scan To Computer reads: No Scan Options, refer to device documentation to trouble shoot.
I have referred to the documentation without finding a solution.

I have the same problem. It will not scan to email either. Support Tech does not help much. I've gone through a lot of procedures to solve the problem with them, but it still will not work. I'm not too sure they know the answer.

I was able to set up scan to email by going into the Embedded Webserver (192.168.1.xxx for my printer) On the Settings TAB, select Outgoing Email Profile Set up. Add as many email addresses as you like. I think my problem originated when someone upgraded our router software to dd-wrt software for our router. (Linksys WRT610N router)
Hope his at least gets you up emailing your scans to yourself.

I have the same issue. It used to work fine but now does exactly what you're experiencing .Any solution?
(I'm running windows 7 32 bit home premium.)
