Officejet Pro 8500 - Duplex

I recently installed the subject printer on my HP Pavillion system.  Every time I print the automatic duplex option is chosen.  I have to manually go into properties and shut the automatic duplex off.  Is there any way to make one-sided copy the default?  Thanks.

Have you tried changing it in Control Panel > Devices and Printers?  Right click the printer, Preferences...

Re: Officejet Pro 8500 - Duplex

Are you referring to ONE SIDED COPY or ONE SIDED printing from the computer as they two are different.

If you're checking for the COPY, you can check the options in the front panel of the printer to cancel the two-sided copy.

If you're trying to print from the computer, then you have to go to

Start >>>> Devices and printers >>>> Right click on your printer icon and select the Printing preferences and select one sided option and save the changes.

I hope the above steps help..................

Re: Officejet Pro 8500 - Duplex

In the Printing Preferences window you'll need to set the Two-Sided Printing or Print on Both Sides to OFF and press OK.
