Re: Officejet Pro 8500A. Error Code0060. Printer Error. Please turn printer off and then on

I have had my HP Officejet Pro 8500A 910A for just over a year and it has been the best printer i have ever had, then one morning in the middle of printing a document my touch screen starts blinking white.  I tried restarting it and the touchscreen went blue during startup with the words "code0060" then the screen goes back to flashing a white blank screen and the touchpad has no response.  I have tried resetting the printer multiple times with no success.  If anyone has any information please let me know because i cant afford to buy another printer and i love the way this printer functioned.

Hello ssgoso1235

I would suggest trying this article. It may help resolve your problem. Unfortunately, the product may need servicing.

Hi Travic_C,

My reply was in responce to your responce to the other customer's question.  This is because I have the same problem....  ??

So, the point being, is that I did try your suggestion.  And that was when I found out that it was not related to the other customer's question.  However, my objection to the posting of information which has not actually been checked by the poster was removed.

I do suggest that any time a IT person is going to make a suggestion, that they be sure that it is related to the question.  We customers who buy your products, when your products have problems and we try to troubleshoot them, it is difficult enough without having to sort thru unrelated suggestions.

Rgds,

Hello hpjonney

Which model of the Officejet Pro 8500A do you have (A910a, A910g, or A910n)?

What operating system are you running?

Are you receiving the same Code0060 as the other customers and when did this start occuring?

Are you on the latest firmware?
