I have installed the Deskjet 3420 from the CD it came with on Windows 7, 32-bit. There was an error during installation. This led me to look for the most up to date driver. The HP support site indicated that the Deskjet 3600 was the most appropriate driver for this update. In my device manager, it indicated that the driver for this printer was up to date. The problem was still present, so I also tried installing the printer though the product search in "Add a Printer." I had to choose the 3600 series here too, as the 3420 was not available after a Windows Update of the available printers list. *I CAN print (from Word, for example), however, I CANNOT manage my print properties (fast draft, normal, dense color, page orientation, etc.). Any advice for a fix to this would be appreciated. : )
