Photosmart C309G-M XP - scanning error (destination)

Its now December 2011 - and Just bought a new Photosmart wireless all-in-one C410. Running under XP and getting the pop up of configuration error for scanner not found several times a day.

Having read other posts here - have not even tried using scanner yet.

Why are HP support not reading complaints from their own suppor forum for a fix?

Anyone have a fix yet???

Have XP..... HP will not make any changes to correct problem.  My suggestion is to bag HP and go with another printer.  This is what happens when a woman tries to run a major company.  Here is her statement:

"I am honored and excited to lead HP," Whitman said in a prepared statement. "I believe HP matters -- it matters to Silicon Valley, California, the country and the world."

Apparently it only matters to her pocketbook.  This company is in big trouble.

ongoing problem trying to scan to computer to e-mail error massage that no scanner is connected have a c309g it worked temporarily to send scan to a desktop file set up by geek squad tried reboot nothing can someone help

I felt compelled to respond. I was up all night with the same problem.  I am able to use the all-in-one fully (after several attemps at re-loading the software) but could not send the scan to a destination.  I wiould follow the prompts and then the file would disappear to no-where.  But I read the post on the previous page and it worked!!!

createde the shortcut and now just click on the desktop shortcut and I can scan and send to standard destinations

just to add, it was SF_Bev 's message on the previous post that really helped me. Works!!! bypass the pretty pictures on the HP soution center and just go to the desktop shortcut she suggests you create.
