Photosmart C4280 photo scan issue

I have downloaded the software for my Photosmart C4280 (PS_AIO_NonNetwork_ENU_NB.exe) and installed it on my HP computer.  I can scan images and they transfer to my computer, but I thought I was supposed to get a prompt after each scan that allows editing to be done on each scanned photo.  This prompt does not come on my computer screen, so I cannot zoom, crop or do what is necessary before storing it.  What am I missing?
