Photosmart C4400 Test Page is blank

Good Day,

 

I just installed an HP Photosmart C4400 series printer on USB on a Dell Dim2200 with 1.3G, 128MB RAM XP Home Edition.

 

I had trouble with install, setup reported 127MB RAM, setup failed. I shutdown essential services, install complete OK.

 

Printer alignmentment - Successful

 

1) Print test page  fails - form feed issued - blank page

 

2) Print text in Wordpad and MS Word - form feed issued - blank page

 

3) Print text and text/graphics in MS Internet Explorer - works perfectly.

 

Any suggestions.
