Photosmart C5280 disk print problem

I have had the same problem as u all but I bought the disk version of Express Labeler 3.2 from HP

and after you install and set up Express Labeler, you open that programme do not even open solution centre from there you have to have your labels or CD/DVD covers ready to drag into the Labler screen I, download mine from

( http://www.cdcovers.cc/ ) and it works fine although I find that after you click print wait until the small screen on the 5280 says insert DVD before you pull down the CD/DVD section in the printer and then the printer will automatically pull your disc holder into the machine as you start to enter it, I found that if i had the DVD section down first it seems not to work for the most part at all.

try it see if it works for you

I would think the downloaded E.Labeler should work the same but i find the disk so handy if you have to reinstall the software as I have on different printers

         Thanks for letting us know you found a solution m8 it's more than HP have done. However I found a solution myself (actually it's an early xmas prezzie from the wife) it's the Epson Artisan 50 inkjet printer. I'm done with HP.

PHOTOSMART 5280

I have got a similar problem. I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 and successfully installed the printer software with everything working. Recently I suffered a catastrophic system failure and had to use my backup discs since when the original software disc is not accepted and I had to download software for my Photosmart 5280. Everything works fine except the disc printer. The printer simply does not recognise that it has a disc printer. What do I do?

I don't suppose HP have come out with a solution for this problem yet? I too am running Windows 7 and get the error the first poster has.

Hi, i know this is an old post.

But i want to let you know that this seems to be a driver issue.

I replaced HP C5280 driver for the HP C5300 and this fixed the issue.

Now i can print a full disk with my printer with no problems.

I hope this can help others to resolve the issue with the HP C5280.
