Photosmart C5280 "Refer to Printer Documentation" Error

 1. Product Name and Number
     • PhotoSmart C5280

 

 2. Operating System installed (if applicable)
     • Windows XP

 

 3. Error message

     • <!> Print Cartridge Refer to Printer Documentation

 

 4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
     • attempted a print job, printed half and the other half began to print unalligned so i cancelled job. Error message displayed since.

 

I cannot print now, and this message is continuously displayed.

 

Please advise.

"Print Cartridge Refer to Printer Documentation". Got the same problem.

I have this too.  I'm using windows7. Was making a photo copy when the "printer cartridge - refer to documentation" message came up.  Now can't print or copy.

 

Has anyone found the cause yet?
