Photosmart Plus B210 will not print from Photo Tray - Vista and 7 - USB and Wireless [ Edited ]

(Sorry for the delay in responding.  I had to leave the computer, and am just now able to get back.)

Here is the view in Vista.  The view in 7 is identical to the Printing Preferences box on the right of the screenshot.  I wish this message would allow for a larger photo, but I think you can see that in the Properties box the Photo Tray is indicated as "Not Available", and in the Printing Preferences box it appears with an yellow, error triangle.

OK, following your instructions, I cleared the printer cache, restarted the Vista machine, selected 4x6 paper in both the Properties and Preferences boxes, and WAS able to print one photo. Thank you.

I will now try the same thing on the Windows 7 machine.

Of course, I bought this printer because it was supposed to "auto detect" print from the correct tray.  If I have to manually set the photo tray for each photo, I still have a problem.

I'll report back my results.

Thank you for your time and attention to my problem.  After following your directions, the printer now works as it should.

I had previously tried changing the settings, but guess it had to do with the sequence in which you had me change them.

If anyone is still watching this topic, I have just bought the same printer and had the same problem. One interesting thing though is when I used the email option and sent a photo as an attachment the printer did auto detect when it printed the attachment. It does not auto detect though when I just try to print a 4x6 with tab, using a standard print menu.

I followed all the directions everyone posted here and it still won't print.  It just keeps telling me to lower the print tray.  I shouldn't have to shuffle trays to get it to print.
