Hi All
As a new user I am not sure if I am putting this in the right place but this semms the most sensible option.
I have a Photosmart 7960 printer which I have had for a few years now. I have always been happy with it.
I recently replaced my PC with a new Windows 7 machine for which HP do not, apparently, provide a driver which will allow me to do things like checking printer ink levels!!
When I request a driver HP facilities tell me there is not a current driver and I should use an alternative which provides me with almost no functionality.
When I try to contact HP about this their email facilities tell me that I cannot talk to them because my product is out of warranty!!
Does anyone know of a way round this problem?
PS I also have a Scanjet 3670 which I have not yet tried to make work. I wonder if it will??

Hello Colin_1234
I found this in the article designed to help those install their older prints in Windows 7.
Checking estimated ink levels
- Print a self-test page through the buttons on the control panel
- View the ink level indicators on the control panel, if there are any

I appreciate your response to my query but you have missed the point.
Yes I can go to my printer and check cartridge levels but I used to be able to do this on my computer.
Why can't I do it any more?

Hello Colin_1234
Unfortunately since there is no Full Feature Software for this printer there is no way to check the ink from the PC. Which operating system did you have previously?
