I had put my printer away in storage and then my laptop crashed loosing all the files, I did not have the install disk for my HP Officejet 4500 wireless G510n so I went to install it online. After installing I fallowed all the directions and then plug in the USB like it told me too, the problem is that it isnt being recognized at all as being connected. I tried it with another connector device and it still did not work. I have fallowed all the directions to the T and it is still not working. I am a college student, I cant afford another printer, and I know it should still work. How can I get this fixed, and fixed quick, because I need to use that printer for school.

I figured out how to fix mine, I had to uninstall the software I had priviously installed and made sure that I downloaded exatly the right softwear. Be sure to check to make sure the EXACT model of your printer and use that information to download the full version of that softwear, hope my 7 hour escapade help you.
