Printing to carbonless paper

Hello All

My printer is an HP Laserjet P3005 printer.  I have many 2-page carbonless copy forms that I fill out for my job.  Recently, I got tired of writing my name, address, etc, on all these forms, and I created a template in MS Word.  I tear the 2-page form apart, and run it through my printer, printing all my information to both pages.  The results look great, but I got to wondering if the chemicals in this paper will cause any damage to my printer.  I anticipate printing probably 300 or so pages like this per year.

In the long term, will this paper cause me any problems?  Thanks

Re: Printing to carbonless paper

Hi:

You would probably need to send your paper out to a laboratory for analysis to be sure , but in general HP does not recommend the use of any coated media because of the chance of contamination to your printer.  In other words, it's not a good idea.  Any coating may build up and could cause fuser or roller damage.

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
