Hi all, I'm trying to install an HP LaserJet P1005 printer on my Vista PC. I have SP1 and during drivers installation it recogizes the printer but doesn't do anything and freezes. Windows asks me to install drivers manually and i tried do this but after installation (that seems to be complete) the printer was not displayed in printers list. I tried to add it manually but an error occurred when installing: Unable to install printer. Error code: 0x000003eb.
Some months ago I was able to install it propely and print some pages, but after rebooting PC and printer the proplem pops up...
What can I do now?
Francesco.

Hi I've got the same problem, have you been able to fix it?
Cheers

Your system registry might be in a incorrect state so I suggest you uninstall the printer driver/software completely first. Execute the uninstaller.exe found on the CD.
Then go to hp.com and download the Plug and Play package. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully - Do not plug in USB until the software prompts you to. This should ensure your driver installation proceed successfully without freezing.

I'm also having a problem installing 1005 driver on my vista. i connect the printer when it asks me to do so, but it doesn't recognise the printer and the 'next' button doesnt appear.
