While installing the printer via wireless/ethernet connection it detects the network printer but while doing the device setup it gives Red X.
Tried enabling Multifunction adaptor in device manager..
Tried adding UDP ports: 161, 427 and 139 and TCP ports: 9220, 9500 and 9290 in firewall exceptions..
Tried repairing netdevicemanager.msi OR network.msi file in the CD
Is there anything else that we can try...

Hey obaid,
Most of the time these issues are caused by a firewall either from software on the pc or from the build in firewall of the router.
You can try connecting the unit directly to the pc ( in your wireless driver on the pc connect to the HP setup network)
please note that the "wireless radio" on the unit needs to be enabled.
Then just install like normal and select network, see if that works, if it does work then your router is the issue and you can
contact your ISP or router manufacturer to change some settings. If that also does not work disable the virusscanner on your pc with msconfig.
1. Start => run
2. In the box enter "msconfig" and select "ok".
3. go to the "Start up" tab and select "Disable all"
4. Go to the "Services" tab, select "hide all microsoft services" and then also select "Disable all"
5. Select Apply and OK and reboot.
6. try install again.
to enable everything after testing :
1. Start => run
2. In the box enter "msconfig" and select "ok".
3. On the first tab you see you can select "Normal start up" and reboot again
4. all services will be turned on again.
hope that helps,
grtz
