Re: Mac OS X Lion

It supposed to appear under Printer Queue > Printer Setup > Utility.

I am not sure if it available or not for the exact driver.

If it is there, you can setup the wireless throgh that page as well.

As well, you may use the WPS feature if your router supports it and have the WPS button.

Please let me know, I will provide you the exact steps if it applicable.

Re: Mac OS X Lion

I would like to let you know that i have tested it with similar device:
By using a USB connection you will not be able to access the Embedded WebPage, therefore the only option to setup the wireless conectivity as of now is by using the dedicated WPS button, however many routers will not support this feature.
For any case your router does not support WPS, you will have to temporary use a USB cable till the full feature will be released at the HP website.

I assume that any software which required to set a network connectivity will be published in higher priority,
Please follow the Product page for any Lion software updates:

Re: Mac OS X Lion

Based on the thread I was able to connect the printer using the WPA push button without using the USB cables.  Once the printer gave me the IP address I used the IP set-up process on the system preference within OS Lion.  Thanks for everyone's input.  I was able to piece enough information from the thread to figure it out.

Re: Mac OS X Lion

Hi there,

I have followed the steps outlined here and on the drivers and downloads page of the HP site to update my printer (C310) to Lion.  However, when I have my computer check for system updates, it tells me that all software is up to date.  This happens whether I am connected to the printer wirelessly or through the USB.

I can print wirelessly through Lion, but the scanner doesn't work.  Anything I can do?

Re: Mac OS X Lion

I wouldn't hold my breath for a Lion update.  Or a Windows 7 update, for that matter.  Here is the response I got from HP "Customer Service."  I particularly enjoy how it is voiced as circumstances beyond their control.

"I hope you’re great. According with the case number XXXXXXXX you have an HP LaserJet 3055 that is not working with Windows 7 and OS 10.7. Unfortunately there is nothing more that we can try the Software is not compatible with those Operating Systems. There is an Upgrade version of the printer which is the HP Laser Jet M2727nf, that one is compatible with Windows 7 and 10.7. I apologize for all this inconvenient but we are not able to make the scanner work on Win7/ 10.7."

In other words, "You're out of luck.  Buy a new machine.  Have a nice day."

Re: Mac OS X Lion

my response from them was this: On reviewing your e-mail, we understand that you are not able to scan from your MAC PC. Please note that E-Mail Support currently provides support for users in Windows environments only. Please contact us at 800-334-5144 for assistance.
