Last week I set up my Officejet 6310 to operate using a USB connection using the Windows 7 64-bit download on HP.com. I changed my mind and wanted to use the printer by connecting it to my router. I reinstalled the software from the same link. The Solution Center and printer worked fine after that.
I saw that my printer was listed as "Officejet 6310 (2)" or something to that effect. Because it was #2 I wanted to spare myself the confusion and deleted the other printers on the list under Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers. After doing this, I found that I could no longer use the Solution Center. The message given by the program is:
"HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete. Please plug in the USB cable or re-run the setup program from the installation CD for a network installation. If this does not complete the installation , or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking the Start Menu."
I re-ran the setup file and saw nothing about network setup. I CAN STILL PRINT VIA NETWORK. What should I do to get my computer's Solution Center to work for my printer on my network?

The Officejet 6310 (2) usually means there is more than one instance of the printer installed on the system. Since Windows 7 automatically installs a driver when the product is connected, I would guess this is where the original driver was installed. Copy 2 was likely from your software installation.
There is usually a link between the software and the driver. The first step you need to perform is to remove any other instances of the product in Devices and Printers.
Then go to start>programs>HP folder and select the product folder and select Add a device.
If this doesn't work you will need to run the uninstall program from the same HP folder and reinstall the software for the network connection.

This did not solve my problem. Any other suggestions?

I get an error message that says The file cannot be accessed by the system.
