Sporadic and intermittent wireless printing from a Photosmart C309G-M

I have my Photosmart C309G-M Printer setup for wireless printing, but it rarely works.  It's intermittent at best.

I have it wirelessly connected to print from 3 computers (iMac, MacBook Pro, Toshiba Satellite).  I am using an Apple Airport Extreme for my wireless router.

I'd say, about ten percent of the time, it will print with no problem.  About thirty percent of the time, it will print after an extreme delay.  And it will not print at all in the remaining sixty percent.  It either says it is Idle or isn't connected.

I cannot figures this out.  I don't know if my settings are jacked up or if it has something to do with the printer refreshing.  I really don't know.  I'm really tempted to resort to switching back to a wired connection, which will defeat the purpose of even using this printer (it's why I purchased it).

Does anyone have any advice.  I've read some other posts, but have not found any information that helps me specifically.

Try placing the printer within the 'Line of sight' to your Airport which should improve the 'strength' .
