photosmart 7510 e all in one series - just purchased and I cannot figure out how to get the pictures from the memory card in the printer to download into My Pictures file on my computer. It seems to only download to snapfish. I need to have them shared in this file so that I can "browse" the file when I am inputting images to a work related program. Can anyone help. I am sure it is easy to do, but I'm not the sharpest computer techy in the world. In fact I call myself a neophyte peasant.

Hi fuzzypuppy,
Follow the steps below to map the card reader
1. Insert memory card into the printer
2. Open My Computer
3. Click on Map network drive
4. Choose desired Drive letter, and then enter \\192.168.1.101\memory_card in the folder
Note: replace the 192.168.1.101 with the IP Address assigned to your printer.
5. Click finish, and the drive will open to access the files

I do have it connected wirelessly and that seems rediculous. Why does the printer have a slot for the memory card from my camera if it doesn't allow me to transfer the images to my computer.

I upgraded from a HP6500 to a HP Officejet Pro 8600. Both were hooked up through a wireless connection. On the 6500 I could pop the memory card into the printer and was able to transfer the pictures to the PC memory. On the 8600 I cannot find out how to do that. It seems to only give me the print from the memory card.

I'm sure I should know this, but how do I find the IP address of my printer. I have nosed around and haven't found the magic yet.
Thanx.

Hi DVDad,
You can press the wireless button on the contol panel of the printer or you can print out the network configuration page. Either of these methods will display the printers IP address. Let me know what you find out?
Printing a network configuration page
- Load plain, white paper in the product input tray.
- On the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow (
), and then touch Setup . The setup menu displays. - Touch the Down Arrow (
), and then touch Reports . - Touch Network Configuration Page . The product prints a network configuration page.
