Trouble launching and installing Officejet J4550 All in One

I have downloaded the software for my Officejet J4550 and I am unable to launch and install. When following the directions, I have the download saved; however, I am unable to doubleclick "download*.exe" as was never an option. I have downloaded it several times to see if I missed a step and each time the software will download but I can't get past step 3.

 

I do not have the disc and used online downloading as an alternative.

 

Please advise.

What operating system are you using?
