I have laptop ACER ASPIRE5742G running windows 7 ultimate and hp deskjet F4583 ... also i tried to put it in all ports and there is nothing change!!

our printer can photocopy but when we tried to print ..it doesnt work .. i already check the cable to other port but still it desnt work.. we also tried to re install the os of the printer but still it doesnt work... and we also tried to to put other devices in our pc port where the usb port of the printer can be used but still the same scenario... what can i do ?hmmff

I am having a similar problem except it is with my phone. I have my phone (LG505C) connected to the USB cord and the cord is connected to my laptop (Compaq.) I am trying to put my music on my phone but it is not even showing that the USB is connected. Please help!

You will need to contact the manufacture of the computer to help you troubleshoot the issues with connecting your phone to your computer. If you have an issue connecting an HP printer to the computer please let me know?

I am having the same problem and have tried every solution possible including ones mentioned above.  PLEASE any further help would be appreciated.  

 This is a new printer that was previously working just fine, and then quit for no reason.  It is brand new and has been used for less than two weeks.   Model HP Laserjet P1102w.

I started getting no response from the printer, and then noticed that it says "driver error".  I then tried to reinstall the software, and when it says to plug the USB cable in, it just hangs, and will go no further (says waiting for device to be connected.)  I have tried using all other available USB ports, and I have tried using 3 different USB cables.  I have tried manually installing the printer driver/software via the method posted above.  Nothing is working. 

I am on an ASUS laptop Intel i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz with 12 GB RAM and operating on Windows 8.

Someone please help before I have to return this printer and purchase a new one.
