Unable to re-install (installation error) software for Photosmart Premium C309

Had problem printing wirelessly on Windows 7 64 bit pc, so decided to delete and re-install all HP software. Have tried installing from supplied disc and from website but get same error every time. Printer works fine from other PC. Are there any residual "hidden files" stopping the software install?

Unfortunately, my answer is not quite so quick - here goes:-

A box shows with "Error solution code 02923076" at the top, but in the body of the box is the following:-

The following lines were retrieved from the installation error logs.

Hey Alaninspain I’m sorry you’re having this issue how about you try and customize your install. so first uninstall the software then once your finish. open the software back up the download from the website if you did so, then check the box to agree with the terms then the next screen it will give you 4 option that’s highlighted in blue I believe select customize software then you want to uncheck everything beside the drivers. Try that then get back with on what happens. Thx

Did as you suggested

I now get on "preparing system for installation" a white X in a red circle with "the system cannot find the file specified". Click OK then installation stops.

What kind of processor do you have on your computer ?

can you give me the product number on the back of printer please. thx it will say FPU number

It should start with a cb,c or cm, it's right below the serial number or next to it.
