Hi Travis,

I'm having a similar problem: my HP C6380 scan no longer works after upgrading to Mountain Lion. Printing is fine.

The SCAN tab does not appear on Print&Scan window on System Preferences, a scan device doesn't appear on Image Capture and the "Import from Scan" is disabled (light grey) on Preview. I have never used the last two. Only knew about it after some research about my issue.  

I did follow the steps to uninstall and install the HP drive as the articles related on this and previous posts.

I can scan only after accessing the Embeded Web Server through HP Utility, which is very limited compared to the options above. 

Is there a solution to start using the scan normally.
