Vista Installati on Issues with LJ3390

Recently purchased Dell 1721 and can't install the HP 3390 software. I set up the printer with my wireless router with out any problems.
When I begin the installation, it checks the software and indicates there are no updates, but it gives me the following message - Software cannot be installed using the Run As Command....and then tells me to have the Administrator install the software. I'm the only user of the PC and I'm set up as the administrator? I've tried turning of the User Account Control under the User Accounts in the Control Panel and that does not seem to do anything either.
I've had this printer for about 1.75 years.
Is it a compatibility issue? Do I need new software?
Any Ideas?

I had the HP3390 connected to network coputer having Windows XP.
Last week I bought another computer, with Vista Business and Added a printer on it using networked printer and installed fine.
However question for you - since you have the 3390 for 1.75 yrs. The scanning and faxing is very slow - even if set as black and white.
Any suggestions ? or it is a problem with 3390 ?
