black ink cartridge

I am trying to replace the black ink cartridge in my hp photosmart printer.
I have removed the old cartridge and am having trouble getting the new cartridge,
or replacing the old cartridge, into its place.
When I insert the cartridge, the bottom front of the cartridge does not allow it to
go in far enough to lock in.
I am inserting the cartridge with the label indicating its number (60) facing me.
Am I doing something wrong?

What printer model are you having this issue?
This may sound as a rhetorical question. But, I must ask, if the cartridges you are using are original HP?.
Operating system
Bear in mind, the more specific you are and the more information you provide, the higher the probability of experts and other members of the forum will have and understand the whole issue, furthermore more than likely this will increase the chances of experts and members alike to present steps that will result in fixing to your issue in a faster manner.
