c4240 alignment fail error

After installing new ink cart. printer went thru the alignment process....scannned the printed alignment sheet 

printer gives"Alignment fail" error.....press OK and it prints another alignment sheet....sort of like a Dog chasing its own tail...and using up ink big tim.

Hello,

 

Lets  try printing a self test page by using the below key combination..

Cancel  + On/Off, then blue, green, gray. Reports Menu » Selftest.

 

The test page should contain horizontal and square boxes for different color. 

They should be solid in color. 

 

If you see any white lines in them, then you must call the HP Tech Support for further assistance (US ) 1-800-474-6836.
