can not get to printer services to check ink levels on a hp j6480 windows 7 64 bit

I am having problem get to can not get to printer services to check ink levels on a hp j6480. I am using windows 7 64 bit. I put in the new Windows 7 drivers to try and fix a connectivity problem. I have uninstalled and reinstall 3 times. Please help if you can.

pcwizard: I should have said that I installed the full version 13 driver. The last time I even used a wizard that was on the site thinking it might find a better version but it downloaded  the same version. I did compelet uninstall before each install. Thanks for the suggestion. This is frustrating because I was using the printer to print 80th BD invitations and could not get a read on the inklevels so to be safe I took out the tri-color cartridge and now do not know what levels are in any of the 3 cartridges.

Do you have Solution Center on your desktop? If you do you can view the link levels from within Solution Center or you can print a self test page from the printer to see the current ink levels.
