help needed with hp printer laser jet cm1312nfi MFP....plz....urgently

hi...

i am using windows 7 62bit.

i have hp laser jet cm1312nfi MFP

 

the problem started when i changed from windows xp 2 windows7....

n xp...when i needed 2 scan...all i needed 2 do is press the scan button located on the front of the hardware..

bt now i have 2 go in computer press scan and den scan...

that is not a big deal...but earlier when i used 2 scan....

a program used to come that used to help set my image gamma,brightness ,cropping and many der option....

now i can only scan without doing any edition...

plz...t has been 6 months....

and now i am getting frusterated...

Did you installed the full feature software for Windows 7?


The software will provide you scanninf from the printer capabilities and editing functionality as well..

You may download and install it from here:

For any case you don't have the software installed, make sure to enter Devices and Printers and remove the existing device (If a USB is being used, unplug it before installing the software) and remove any installed HP Software as well (e.g UPD, basic driver, etc.)

i did wht u told me...

bt same thng..

btw srrie 4 l8 rply...

 

when i press scan....

the followin appears...."waiting for pc"....

"scanning error...cannot connect"

 

i thnk tht twain software doesnt come...r whteva t z called...

plz help..

and thx 4 replyn so quickly...

it says

"there is no TWAIN - compliant device installed.please install one and try again....plx help....rllie pissed........

You need to download the full solution cm1312nfi software from the below link. I have tested this software on a win7 64 bit maching and it downloads and works.

 

cm1312nfi

 

Once it is downloaded and installed. Go to the start button, locate the HP folder under All programs, open the folder and locate your product folder, then find the Scan icon. The features that you see in the scan option are the only features that are available for the win7 solution for this product.

 

The other option you have is to use the Windows Fax and Scan feature which can be found under the Start button. This feature does have the brightness and contrast features but not cropping.

 

Unfortunately, these will be the only 2 options that you will  have available for this printer in the win7 OS.

I too am having a problem with the HP scanner program saying "no twain device installed" on the Color LJ CM1312nfi mfp with Win7-64 connected USB. The program does work for a while, then I start receiving the error message. I un-installed everything and removed the left over directories. When I re-installed the full-program ver 5.1 I get the error message again. I image my computer, so I was able to go back to when it worked. This is not a solution. I've had to reimage my machine three times so far. The problem seems to be the software for Win7. I had no issues with WinXP. Can some one from HP fix this bug and roll out a new full-package for Win7 users. I am not the only one who is having this issue.
