how do I activate scan to computer

My printer is telling me that my computer is not listed. How do I activate scan to computer

Hi

On your desktop doubleclick the printer icon.

In the new screen click on "manage scan to computer"

In the new screen tick the Automaticly start scan to computer......

and click the enable button.

I really need to use the scan feature on my printer both wireless and wired.  Please assist...

I keep getting a message "Scan to computer is not activated".  I followed your solutions to the previous users however it is not working.  "Your computer is not list as a available on the printer's control panel. Restart the computer...."  I have the computer connected to via usb to the printer because I couldn't get it to work wireless.

I can double click Manage Scan to Computer and a window open, Manage Scan to Computer is there, but it does nothing with a double click or r-click >Open, it seems like an icon that does nothing and is connected to nothing.

Hi, I used to use this function all the time. It appears the option has disappeared and now I cannot Activate Scan to Computer as this is not available. I can only use the scan from pc. The page layout has changed and only two option are available now. I have tried to reload the CD again but this made no difference. Please can you help me get this option back? I have the same issue, Scan to Printer is no longer showing when I click the HP printer icon.  I bought this printer about 7 months ago and this was working just fine up until a few days ago.  Tried re-loading the software to no avial.  Please help, as I really use the scan to printer feature allot.

My solution was to delete the printer under Devices and Printers, and to then click Add a printer, and it reinstalled the device. I didn't have to dig out CD or anything and it was a fast fix. Much faster than all the research I had to do.

Hp Desktop 3050A will not scan to computer wireless or with usb... it worked fine for a few days but stopped. it says no active connection, but the computer reconized the printer....
