hp c4780 ivisible in windows 7

Hi,

I use my c4780 wireless in my network. Everything seems to work fine but on my Vista pc's I find the printer in the printers overview while on the windows 7 the printer doesn't show up.

On the windows 7 pc every application can use the printer and shows it as the default printer but within windows the printer can't be found.

This seems to be a pretty new issue. Very tricky as well

Anyways I would like you to try the following step and check if it is working or not.

Open " registry editor"

Browse to this key in the registry:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace

Create a new key and name it   :  {2227a280-3aea-1069-a2de-08002b30309d}  (include the curly brackets)

now go to the printers and devices folder and try to view not in category mode.

There will be a new "Printers" folder try to navigate it and I think you should get back the LOST printer Icons.

Please note before performing any edit on the registry PLEASE TAKE A BACKUP of it.
