hp officejet 8600 and the screen has gone too dim to see the control screen.

Is there any way to reset the printer to get back to factory defaults (not sure if it is a screen problem)

Hi tomkaighin,

Follow the steps below to reset defaults.

1. Press on Setup

2. Scroll to Tools menu

3. Scroll to Restore Factory Defaults

I would use the reset, but as I stated, the screen is too dim to see the controls (i.e. can't tell where fax, copy, scan is except I know the order for them.  Can't see the number screen in fax, etc, etc, etc)
