On a mac. 10.6
Everything was working fine for years. out of the blue, scan starts crashing on start up. Uninstall software. Reinstall software. Now the printer doesn't even show up in the utilities. However, I can still print so there's a connection there. Still cannot scan. This is taking so long I'm ready to just buy a new scanner. It will not be an HP.

Hello,
Thanks for the post. With this one, I might suggest following the steps in the link below. It sounds like the software has not been completely uninstalled. Remove and reinstall software. Good Luck!
