installing Laser 1022

I am trying to load the LaserJet 1022 Drivers on my Dell Xps with Win 7 Home edition.  It sees the printer but cannot load the drivers.

I does not show up in Printers, but shows up below them as a generic device.  Cannot load driver individually and cannot get it to install when using Windows "add printer"  the LJ 1022 is not in the selection of printers.  The printer works fine with my Macintosh powerbook.  I have also experienced this with a desktop computer, was working fine then cause print spooler to corrupt, when disconnected the printer the other printers worked fine.

I am using a LJ 1020 (same drivers) with out problems...

Using 64bit Windows 7 Home Edition

Are you trying to install the software via the CD that came with your printer?

You may want to download the drivers directly from HP's website.

I have not had success installing my LJ 1022, I have an 1020 printer installed and running successfully.  Is it because the printers use same software how can I install the 1022.
