installing a hp psc 750 in a pc with windows 7

Hello

I bought a new PC with Windows 7. I installed a HP psc 750. The assistant didn't show any problem. But I cannot print!.

What should I do?

I don't know what is wrong. I have tried with 2 HP Photoshop number 7150 and another one number over 7500 but it carries on without printing.

Maybe what I must do is buying another printer.

If you have not yet and would still like to perform so further attempts to get it to work I would be more than happy to help. SandyBob above was on the right track the printer is old but there should be a working driver somewhere in Windows 7. the PSC 750 probably can't work with the 7000 series printer. My suggestion is try the following instructions.

 
1. Open devices and printer
2. Click Add a printer
3. Click Add a local printer
4. From the Use existing port select the USB option, and then click next
5. Click on the Windows Update button to get all support window 7 drivers updated
6. Once update is finished. Click on HP from left menu, and then select the Deskjet 990c from the right menu, and then click next.  
7. Follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation.  
 
Once you have the 990c printer added make sure it is the default printer, and then try printing to your PSC 750 printer using this driver. Let me know if you have the same issue?

Maybe I should have told you I live in Spain. My computer has the instructions in spanish but I translate your instructions from english to spanish.

I have done what you said, but there is not the option HP Deskjet 990c printer. I have chosed before the HP Deskjet 6600 and then HP Deskjet 3520. The higher and lowest numbers posible. But nothing.

Computers are sometimes veeeeeeeeeery strange.

My printer prints. The funny thing is it prints now from the last page to the first, buy I don't mind.

I have an ending petition. How do I make my printer the default printer?. Because I have installed others I don't have. I mind, the HP Photoshop, the 7500, etc

Glad your printer is working. To set your default printer go to "Devices and Printers".

Right click the printer you want as default and select "set as default printer."
